Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Taj Coleman Educational Consulting (“I”, “me”, or “my”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit this website, contact me, or use my educational consulting services. I am based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and work with families worldwide.

I handle personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and, where it applies to clients in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR and UK GDPR).

Information I Collect

I collect information you choose to provide, including:

  • Contact details — name, email address, and phone or WhatsApp number when you submit the contact or booking forms.
  • Booking information — the package you are interested in and the appointment details you select through the scheduling calendar.
  • Student information — details you share about your student, such as grade level, curriculum, academic history, learning differences, and goals, to the extent needed to provide the service.
  • Communications — the content of emails, messages, and session notes created in the course of working together.

This website does not use advertising trackers. Basic technical information (such as pages visited and approximate region) may be processed by the hosting provider for performance and security purposes.

Students and Children’s Privacy

My services involve information about students, many of whom are under 18. I collect and use student information only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, and only for the purpose of providing educational consulting services. I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without parental involvement, and I never sell or use student information for marketing.

Information a student or family shares about learning differences, health, or wellbeing is treated as sensitive. It is used solely to tailor support for the student and is shared with no one without explicit consent, except where the law requires disclosure or where there is a serious safety concern.

How I Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries and provide the services you request
  • To schedule, prepare for, and follow up on sessions
  • To send administrative messages such as confirmations and reminders
  • To maintain records required for legitimate business purposes
  • To comply with legal obligations

I do not sell personal information, and I do not send marketing communications without your consent.

Service Providers

I use a small number of trusted providers to operate this website and my services. Each processes data only as needed to perform its function:

  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Sanity — content management for the website
  • Calendly — appointment scheduling (subject to Calendly’s own privacy policy when you book)
  • Resend — delivery of form submissions by email
  • WhatsApp — messaging, if you choose to contact me there

International Transfers

Because I work with families across different countries, your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United Arab Emirates, the United States, and the European Union. Where required, I rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, and I apply the same standard of care to your information regardless of where it is processed.

Data Retention

I keep personal information only as long as needed to provide services, maintain reasonable business records, and meet legal obligations. Session notes and client records are retained for a reasonable period after our work ends, after which they are deleted or anonymised. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Security

I use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the website, access-controlled systems, and reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but I take the protection of family and student information seriously.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal information I hold about you
  • Ask me to correct inaccurate information
  • Ask me to delete your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email me at coleman.academicservices@gmail.com. I will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and continued use of the website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
